I didn’t think to get my camera out until the rescue was complete and they were taking the surfer from the helicopter to the ambulance.  The beaches in Pacifica are not for the rookie surfer and should never be tackled alone.  The results are often deadly.  Fortunately for this guy, the pros were trained and ready.
